+Season 6: Spoilers

According Carol
Mendelsohn, the mysterious Lady
Heather will return to the show. The character was first introduced in the
season 2 episode "Slaves
of Las Vegas" and made a second appearance in "Lady
Heather's Box," in which a sexual relationship between her
and front-man Gil Grissom was implied.
Also back for season 6 will be one of the
characters featured in the season finale episode "Grave
Danger." Though Mendelsohn did not reveal who, all signs
point to Kelly Gordon, daughter of Walter Gordon, the man who kidnapped Nick
Stokes and buried him alive. According to Walter Gordon, his daughter was
incarcerated unjustly, which prompted him to plan his revenge on the CSIs.
Kelly was featured in the last scene of the season, when CSI Stokes visited
her in jail.
While in London,
Mendelsohn took the opportunity to discuss the possibility of bringing
Grissom to the city. Originally, the character was supposed to travel to
England during season 5, but scheduling conflicts put the plans on hold. The
London storyline hasn't been discarded, however, as Mendelsohn revealed that
if it doesn't occur this season, then it will be explored during season
seven. Series creator Anthony Zuiker has
already toyed with the idea of taking the franchise abroad.

LOS
ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - CBS went into the Nielsen stratosphere
Thursday, when more than 30 million viewers turned out for the two-hour
fifth-season finale of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" directed
by Quentin Tarantino.
Indeed, the "CSI" landslide made
it an uphill climb for the 9 p.m. finale of "Apprentice," which
brought in 14 million viewers and a 6.3 rating/15 share in the adults 18-49
demographic, according to Nielsen Media Research.
The 8-10 p.m. airing of "CSI" averaged 30.7 million viewers and a
10.6/28 in the key demo; viewership peaked in the final half-hour at 35.1
million viewers and 12.8/30 in the demo.

Grave Danger!
Everyone
wants to know the gory details about how Quentin Tarantino came to direct
tomorrow's two-hour season finale of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
In the episode, one of the CSI team members
-- investigator Nick Stokes -- is buried alive while his colleagues race to
save him.
The episode, originally conceived as a
single hour, grew to two hours -- and Zuiker won't say whether or not it
ends on a cliffhanger.
What's not a mystery is how much Tarantino
enjoyed himself making it. "It wasn't a challenge in that regard
because ... I like the show," says Tarantino who directed a 1995
episode of ER.

of CSI Success
My
favorite thing about “CSI” is that its new episodes beat “American
Idol” in the Nielsen ratings each and every week.
I feel a little sense of pride looking at the numbers and seeing that once
again, Gil Grissom and crew have kicked Simon, Paula and the would-be
“Idols” down to second place. Even when the show is a rerun, it always
lands in the top 10. Obviously, tons of people love “CSI.” But why does
it work so darn well? Read

member of the
graveyard shift may die!
The news that
Tarantino would direct the season finale merged with a long time rumor about
front man William Petersen leaving the show, creating massive speculation
about the fate of Gil Grissom. But despite his knack for blood, gore, danger,
the producers insisted Tarantino is not out to 'Kill Gil'. "We have no
intention of killing Gil," executive producer Carol Mendelsohn told TV Guide.
"We joked about calling it 'Kill Gil,' but that's really just a pun."
Gil Grissom is safe for now, but another character may not be so lucky.
Mendelsohn revealed the season finale will put one of the characters in an
unspecified life or death situation, and fans may have to wait until
next season to learn the news of the character's fate. When asked which
character might be taking the plunge, the producer only said one thing:
"a member of Grissom's team."
Source: www.csifiles.com
Analogy: Now that we know that one of the
members of Grissom's team may die, let's analize the situation of all of
them:
-Grissom: he will not face death..cause Carol Mendelsohn said they
won't "kill Gil".
-Greg: there aren't any good reasons for him to be facing death.
-Sara: she may be a possibility, maybe if she is in a life-death
situation, Grissom will open his eyes and see what he is loosing.
-Sofia: she is another strong possibility, as the actress who plays
Sofia is pregnant and will have to leave the show.

+Expanding
the ‘Crime Scene’
This has been a great
season for CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Thursdays, Ch. 5, 8 p.m.) The
show has moved into new territory with its recent explorations of internal
politics and long simmering rivalries and tensions between Gil Grissom
(William Petersen) and Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) that have
resulted from the original team being split with each operating a different
division. Though it was assumed from the show’s early years that they were
friends, it is now evident their management styles aren’t similar and that
Willows also apparently deems Grissom a potential career threat.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - CBS and NBC wound up in a dead heat in the demo
derby on Thursday.
CBS was powered by a double dose of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" capped
by "Without a Trace." "ER" and "The Apprentice" pushed NBC into a tie with CBS
in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic with a nightly average of 6.7 rating/17
share.
CBS was the clear victor in the total viewers column, averaging 21.4 million
for the night to NBC's 14.6 million, according to preliminary estimates from
Nielsen Media Research.
CBS opened the night on a strong note with a repeat of "CSI" (16.8 million,
4.8/13) that nearly caught NBC's combo of "Joey" (11.4 million, 4.6/13) and "Will
& Grace" (11.5 million, 5.2/14) in the 18-49 race. At 9 p.m., a fresh
installment of "CSI" climbed to 27.6 million
viewers and 9.2/22 in the key demo against "Apprentice" (15.1 million,
7.2/17).

Tarantino could be directing an upcoming episode of "CSI"
CBS officials say it's all
just "chatter" at this point, but "CSI" star
George Eads, who plays Nick Stokes on TV's top-rated
drama, started the ball rolling during last weekend's SAG Awards in L.A.
"There's a rumor that Quentin Tarantino is going to direct an episode of 'CSI,'
" Eads told reporters.
CSI" — which stars William Petersen — would appeal to Tarantino's gory
sensibilities. He is the director of such famously violent movies as "Reservoir
Dogs" and "Kill Bill."
Tarantino has past TV experience, directing an episode of "ER" in
1994.
He was supposed to direct an episode of "The X-Files," but that
project was scrapped.
And he appeared as an actor in "Alias," where he played a vicious,
renegade agent in the show's 2002 season.
"CSI" is now in its fifth season.
